Any medical out there? | Arthritis Information

My family makes around 35,000 a year for a family of 3.

I have no medical and many programs won't take existing things like RA.

I am in need of a free or low cost medical program.  I don't know where to turn, I live in Louisiana.

Thanks in advance for any info you might have :)

In Texas, if you apply for Medicaid and you dont qualify, they will give you info on programs that you do qualify for. You can also look at Unicare insurance. They  are supposed to be pretty good about taking pre-exist. and being low cost. At least they used to be.thank you.One other possibilty would go in to one of your local hospitals or doctors office and ask the business office people if they have any sugggestions. They handle insurance and see alot of things pass accross their desks, maybe they would know what is available in your area.

To find out what you qualify for in your state, go to: www.govbenefits.gov. I found this at the www.diabetes.org site. They have a lot of info on disability.

Your state also has a high risk pool if you don't qualify for state aid. But if you have kids, it is usally easier to get some kind of help.

Come back and ask again if you don't find something that works. I try to keep a list of possibilities going.
