I underwent surgery in Oct of 2002 for total ankle replacement. I'm now facing another surgery to revise a component of that replacement joint, which has shifted and is causing much pain and an intolerable gait. Am wondering if there is anyone out there who has undergone an ankle repalacement, and what the results were.

It is week 16 today since my STAR. I am in aggressive physical therapy at this time. The ankle pain I had prior to surgery is gone. The pain I suffer at the moment is on the outside of my foot and heel. "It may be scar tissue". Ex Ray 7-20-10 keeping my fingers crossed. However, I was told from the onset to be patient.
