Question about Vocational Rehab | Arthritis Information

I've already asked for suggestions about changing what I do a couple of times. But this is a real tough one for me. I love writing and art.

Some suggested teaching and career counciling. I don't think I have the energy for teaching and I cannot work full time even now. I'm not really interested in teaching. It does seem to spark anything within me.

I need to keep medical career, so just getting a temp job isn't going to help. I tried working from home yesterday and the pain was less, but barely. It's the type of continuous work that I do. It is very detailed, exacting.

I just have to make a change. I tried Vocational Rehab once before but they basically suggested I try disability. I cannot stand for long periods or walk very long. That cuts out a lot jobs right there. My energy level really drops at times and I frequently have to take time off to either rest or go to doctors.

I really want to write. But it is becoming so painful. Artistically, I'm really good, but this is even harder than writing. Add to this ongoing problems with my eyes and I starting to feel really frustrated.

Has anyone had success with Vocational Rehab. I really, really don't want to do disability. I just cannot keep working the way I am.
