I read almost all of the posts here and I always wonder what State
people are from. I feel that it makes it a little more
interesting while watching the weather channel or whatever and thinking
oh, so and so lives there, better check her/him out to be sure
everything is okay.
What do you think??
Luv, Justme
I live in Canada, in the province of Ontario.
Oh shoot, I should have been more specific. I meant listing the
State near the avitar under location. That way we could tell at a
glance.
ohhhUnfortunately, you only have a choice of country. So, the other way was working, let's keep it going! I live in rural northwestern Connecticut, but my roots are hillbilly West Virginian - that's what my screen name is from - Hillbilly Honey!I am now from Michigan, where the air is crisp and clean and the trees are magnificent! Just moved here though last year, was in Indiana. However, I was born in Detroit many, many years ago.I, in Souther California. In the San Bernardino Mtns. :) Wonderful place to be near the city, yet so far away!!
I live in Queensland, AUSTRALIA, The Sunshine State. We have the best beaches in this part of Australia , well I think so!!!!!
It's Home and I'm staying!!
The only place that I have lived is where I was born Baltimore, Maryland.
Michigan, a northern suburb of Detroit - where everything is green and wild - but it's COLD here right now (50 tonight). I live where theres plenty of fishing boats and lighthouses. Any guesses? Yup its the great state of Maine, I moved here when I was 16 and fell in love with the state.I live in a town just north of the Houston city limit---
The stars at night, are big and bright----
Deep in the heart of Texas!
Remind me of, the one I love----
Deep in the heart of Texas!
YYYYEEEEEEHHHHAAAAWWWW!!!!!
I'm on the eastern shore of Maryland near Salisbury, population in Princess Anne approx. 25,000, (half are college students) little peninsula right on the East Coast.
Yep I know a hurricane is coming "It could happen tomorow" (A weather channel series).
A hurricane is actually what made one of Marylands biggest tourist attractions - Ocean City, a beach, boardwalk & amusement resort town. Years ago a hurricane came up the coast and hit what is now Ocean City, it made it into the small Peninsula it is today.
On the other side of us is the Chesapeake Bay. Storms that come up the coast push water into the bay and cause major flooding.
I'm inland far enough to not be affected by flooding on either side - however there's always concern in the case of a major hurricane there is really no way evacuate the entire Eastern Shore Peninsula since it's surrounded on 3 sides by water. My family and my husbands family have always lived here.
It's very interesting to see were everyone is from. Great idea!
I was born in southern Ohio and moved to KY when I was 7 and we moved back to southern Ohio when I was 12. Have been here ever since, 32 years!
I am halfway between Cincinnati and Columbus. The summer is beautiful, but can get very humid, autumn is awesome..local town of Bainbridge even has a Fall Festival of Leaves every October--hills are gorgeous around here. Winter..I love it til about the middle of January then I'm ready for summer greenery and heat!!! Love the change of seasons and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
I live in Massachusetts...just outside Boston.Washington Twp., MichiganVermont, though I was born in Alabama and I still can't figure out what I am doing in such a cold state.
I was raised in Toronto and lived there till I was 26, I've been in Melbourne Australia ever since.
Hey Pammy...since you lived in Toronto for a while, I thought you might be interested in this. This morning the "four sisters" were demolished.
PS love your new avatar!!!
YOu tell me yours i'll tell you mine :)Thanks PamI was born in LaRochelle, France. I was a Navy brat, so we moved about every 3 years until high school. Dad retired in Charleston, SC, so I consider that to be home, and Lord willing, will be back there to retire myself one day.
I Live in New Hampshire...Has anyone noticed we seem to have a very large Michigan population? We also have all the New England states represented except for Rhode Island? Anyone out there from Rhode Island?Hi Everyone,
I'm from Montreal, Quebec (Canada) and I've lived here most of my life and love it!
I live in Missouri The Show Me State, born and raised. We have the craziest weather. No joke today could be 102 and tomarrow 60.In southern California, Orange County
Susan I live in Glen Burnie, Maryland. We are so very fortunate to have the beautiful Chesapeake Bay to go boating on. I was born in Baltimore, Md. & raised in Lansdowne, Md. until I married. Trisha
I was born in ft. collins, co, and lived in yellowstone
wyoming, cookville tennessee, atlanta georgia,
minneapolis, mn, and then spent 30 years in las
vegas (my home sweet home). I have been in san
francisco for the past 5 years....too expensive here.
Hope to move close to one of my sisters in about a
year-she just moved to santa fe.

I have never found anyone here that lives in TX except DFW Mike. Now we have one from Louisiana and Marisa Sue is in Florida, but I think that is it for Gulf Coasters. Seems like most of yall are Yankees here... Thats okay, I love yall anyways!
Actually, my whole family is from Louisiana (one side is Italian, the other side is Italian and French-Canadian) and I happened to be born in Ohio. Lived there and Pennsylvania when I was a kid. Moved to Texas when I was 9 years old. So even though I was technically a yankee at birth, I am a southern girl by blood and at heart! Ninilchicken-Alaska? That is so crazy! I would love go to Alaska some day. I cant imagine what it is like to live in a climate like that. We watch that show Deadliest Catch on TV and I think those guys are nuts! What is the warmest day you guys have there? What about the coldest? We just recently met a guy who moved here to Houston from Alaska to get married. He is working a job in a shop that is open and un-airconditioned. He is already having a rough time and it is not even summer yet. It is in the 90's now and pretty humid. I like it cold, I hate the heat! If only it would stay at 60 degrees all of the time! I've spent my whole life here in Minnesota. Beautiful, green state with lots of lovely lakes, progressive, intelligent people (I've never met anyone that sounds like the movie "Fargo"),and two seasons - winter and road construction. Someone asked about a map to post where everyone is located. You can find one at frappr.com. Other message boards have used Frappr maps to post locations of people. Crunchy! I lived in between Katy and Houston for 5 years! I miss Texans! I am in Vegas and its shallow here. You cant walk up to anyone here and just talk to them like in TX or the South. That sucks! Most of Smell-A has moved here it seems in the past few years too! doh! Now that Vegas is "cool" on TV, etc... its strange. There is that Vegas that exists here, but then there is the real Vegas... of residents that usually dont pay much attention to the stip or casinos unless someone is visiting! (speaking of... if anyone really loves this place or any place on this Earth... please tell your representatives you oppose the nuclear waste repository here! its such a sham and its so dangerous! Its not a done deal YET!) Good sunshine here tho! I couldnt handle that TX humidity now... but miss the hospitality! I used to love shopping the odd shops on Westeimer Ave... and the museums were cool there. I miss Astroworld too! I had summer passes to it with my pal several times. There are no cool parks here, can you believe that?! PS love your nickname! I use crunchy to describe how my joints feel sometimes and my Rheumy just laughed at that... she thought I was talking about a candy bar for a sec there! hehe!
Hi Pepper-you are the only other one I see that lives in vegas. Although I am not there now (4 1/2 yrs. in san francisco) I spent 30 years there...although I lived in Boulder City. Do you ever go there or to the lake or river? I actually really miss it. I was never a 'strip' person though...mostly fishing hiking, sitting by the pool! I spent 6 months in dallas on a work project and really liked it there too. One of my sisters just recently moved to whitesboro. p.s. are they still talking about the nucleor waste repository? They were talking about that 7 years ago.
I live in Massachusetts. About 50 miles west of boston Marie Raised in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. Yes, visited Euclid Beach, Cedar Point (yearly), Geauga Lake and Sea World quite often. Janie, I too live in the Sunshine State of Queensland - and you have picked a great part of it to live. I'm in Brisbane - a couple of blocks from the river; look at the TV weather map each evening and reckon we have a pretty good climate here! But am interested in where everyone lives in the States, good way to improve geog. knowledge ... atlas gets frequent use :) lorrie I come from a town called Guildford (just south of London in the UK). Been pretty hectic over the past few days as you all must of heard regarding airport security, weather in uk surprise surprise "its been grey and wet for ages!!!!!" It's not so much the heat that will kill you, it's the humidity. I'm in Chilliwack British Columbia Canada. I've lived here most of my life and wouldn't want to move anywhere.
Another beautiful part of the sunshine state! Janie, most of my family
come from Hervey Bay and Maryborough (that's where I was born).
And I spent many childhood holidays, especially Christmas, at the
Bay or Fraser Island. Small world hey?
