Yep. That's me today. I don't notice it most of the time because I have my knee braces on. But I'm pretty flared right now and it does look like I have two additional knees. Now, I didn't request these two extra parts. But they routinely appear. They never entirely go away.
I was wondering if anyone else here that has knee problems has the same effect. If so, we could start the 4 Knee Club.
I miss my once beautiful legs. It used to be one of my prime features and as my grandmother and mom both have had beautiful legs way past 70, it seems rather a disappointment.
Well, I am getting a taste of it. My knee was more swollen today than it ever has been in my life. It never bothered me before RA. It is like the size of a large grapefruit and dwarfs the other one.I am so happy you got your card. Now maybe you will finally get some relief. I know you have really been suffering. I know that they can make at least this better.
Sorry about your additional body parts! I just grow mammath fruit with arizonara. I keep 2 grapefruit in the middle of skinny bird legs. What a beauty pagent we could have!
I can only do stairs by doing the twostep. My house sits ona hill and if I go in the front door there are 18 steps and if I come in through the basement there are 13. Spend a lot of time on the porch looking around!
Do your knees make noise when you walk or climb stairs? Mine sound grindy. Used to be just the left one but now they both do it.
I injured both knees once upon a time. The first time was in 83 when I stepped off a platform at work and my left knee landed on a metal frame and my right one I injured in 97 when I slipped in wet grass. It was storming and my dog was tied to a tree. I ran to get her (amid thunder, lightning and a downpour) and my right leg slipped in the grass.

My knees swell up also but not to a great size. I've had knee problems all of my life though, surgeries on both, so I'm sure one day I'll be part of the 4 Knee Club.Welcome to the 4 Knee Club!
Deena, that grinding sound is usually OA. Have they done MRIs? Yes, my knees sometimes make noises and do my shoulders and ankles. So, we could have a band to go with our beauty pagent.
SIGN ME UP FOR THE BAND Both of my knees are in bad shape. They will hurt soooo much that it's diffcult to walk. I get that grinding noise when I move my right knee. Stairs are a nightmare for me. I hang on to the railing and take it one step at a time. It's easier for me to go down then go up the stairs.
