Hi Everyone! I was just diagnosed with RA and I am on Methotrexate and Prednisone. Seems that my hands and feet are doing better but I am having muscle pain all over, especially my arms. I have those nodules and sometimes they become inflamed as well. Does anyone else have muscle pain when taking Methotrexate or Prednisone?

You might want the dr to look at them to see whether or not the mtx is causing them to inflame so.. Hope this helps. MemeHi Susan...Glad you found us. I don't really have an answer to your question but I did want to welcome you to our group. This is a great place to come, make friends and get advice and hear personal experience from lots of folks who know exactly what you're going through.
I take MTX & Humira and can't say that I have muscle pain. Now when I was first dignosed I think I hurt everywhere!! My joints were in such bad shape I think it just caused all sorts of trouble. I started out with predisone, sulfersalazine and some sort of NSAID (can't remember which it was; naperson maybe) and once the predisone kicked in I found a good bit of relief. I hope that will be the case with you.

Thanks Lovie for your kind message. I am so glad I found this group. It is so nice to have some of my questions answered and hopefully have some answers that help others too. I feel so much better today than yesterday so I will watch how things go after I take my next mxt on Monday night. That in itself might give me some answers. And, then I will be seeing the doctor during that week too so I will be able to bring up this subject at that time. Thanks again for the welcome! Hope you are having a good day! Susan
