I’m a newbie, diagnosed with Fibro | Arthritis Information

I'm new to this site and would like to say hello to everybody and I am soooo glad that I found this forum.

I was sort of diagnosed after nearly 2 years of being 'ill' with Fibro cos all the bloods kept coming back 'normal'. When I say I was diagnosed ermm well, nobody was telling me what was going on and then a doctor got in my face and boomed to me 'I'm telling you that you have Fibromyalgia.' Hmm very nice hey?

So I'd like to say hello to everyone and hope that everyone is feeling as pain free as they can

I was diagnosed in late 2004 after seeing many doctors.  We know how that goes.  Most of the doctors thought I was a hypochondriac because I kept comming back with the same issues.  Well, I finally saw a Rheumy and finally there was an answer

No one's ever told me that I have it, but when I look up the symptoms.... I have it. Tried the miracle cure, Lyrica but it just made me sleep and have weird dreams, gain weight and swell up like a balloon. I buy those heat packs that you can get just about anywhere, I buy the store brand, they're cheaper and work just as well. They have sticky tapelike ends so you can "glue" them to wherever you hurt. If you have fragile skin, be careful. I hope you feel better soon :) Wendy

I take Lyrica for my pain and it is Wonder Drug for those that can take it. I wasn't told that I have fybromyaligia but I know that was one of problems. Lyrica took care of some of my pain. I have so much pain from RA Arthritis that it is so hard to tell what is causing my pain anyway please give Lyrica a chance.
