My "new" fun pain for the month is this....I feel like I have a cut on the top of my finger. It's the only way I can describe the way it feels, like if I sliced it (not too hard) in the kitchen or something...it's there all the time for maybe a month or so...0dd, anyone else?Is it swollen or red?nope, I'm not red or abnormally swollen. it's the craziest thing. You should see if your doctor can do an xray, maybe something is going on in the joint there. That is strange.

You win the strangest symptom of the month award!

My fingers are cracked and cut all the time, but I can't imagine having that feeling without it really being cut.

Let us know if you find out what it is!

I'm stumped. Never had that one. I've heard of cuts that won't heal, but not cuts that aren't there. oh well, I thought I'd take a chance someone else felt it too....it makes me so happy to come on here and see all these people who know just what I'm talking about when I say "well, today I can't wear shoes...." not that I'm happy you're all in pain and tired (of course) but that I'm not all alone here....I'm so frustrated by my family's attitude about it, they don't get it at all. thanks again for letting me know I'm not alone on an island....Kim, one of the worst things about this disease is that it is so hard for other people to understand. There are days when it seems if there were total support from the family that the rest would be gravy.Kim- now that you mention it sometimes I look at my hands thinking I have papercuts.  No papercuts- just stinging.  It's quite bizzare.  My left hip also itches.  It will itch like crazy for no reason.  Nothing else itches.  I've tried changing underwear, no, still itches- not all the time, but in spurts.  And I do think that non-RA people think that we are nuts with all these crazy things we come up with.YES, like big paper cuts!! one that is from the bottom of my fingernail to that first little knuckle..I don't know how yours works, but sometimes it hurts to touch my fingers or use them. It literally feels like they're badly sprained and other times a sudden shooting pain inside a bone. more rare, thank god, are the crushing pain feelings in the bones. And I'm really tired. What's it like for you? Are you swollen? where? I'm in fingers and toes....
