Hey all!!  I'm not going to make it another week and half with no anti-inflamatories!!  I hurt so damn bad and it's getting worse!  Now my hands and my feet are tingling as if they are asleep but there is not restrictions on them....  gave in and took a vicoden to see if that will help.  Any suggestions???  Does your pain get so bad you get the tinglies too???   I didn't realize how much the ibuprofen was working until I wasn't on it anymore!!!

I get the tinglies. Oh Teri, I wish I could think of anything else you can do. Hang in there. You are going to make it because after this surgery, you should see a lot of improvement in how you feel. Before my surgery, it just drug my general health down so much.

I wish, wish there was something I could do to help. I'm praying for you.

My hands & feet have tingled since I was first diagnosed. I haven't had a minute without that in a long, long time. You do get used to that.

Just think of every minute, hour and day you've gotten through. The time will pass, and then, you'll be so much better!!! You've already gotten through most of today. You can do it.
Thanks!  Vicoden is kicking in and helping.  I just hate resorting to pain killers!!  The tinglies remind me of when they were testing me for MS about five six years ago....  is it the inflamation pressing on nerves?

I don't know. It does seem to associated with my flares and inflammation. Sometimes, it is positional for me as well. It improves when I where my wrist braces.

I'm glad the Vicodin is starting to help. That is why they gave to you. There isn't something wrong with taking it. If you child was in a bad car accident and they gave them morphine, you wouldn't have a problem with it. You would just be grateful.

Be grateful for the Vicodin and rest up.

   Hi,
I' ve been reading up on natural anti-inflamstories. I'm doing some of it and it seems to work. If you eat cherries or drink cherry juice it helps with the inflamation. Other foods that help are: blueberries, blackberries, cranberries, raspberries, apples, dark green leafy vegs., flax seeds, whole grains. For dinner I made this salad with baby spring greens with carrots, pea pods, dried cherries, blueberries, a little cooked chicken breast without skin, and some almonds. The carrots and pea pods were raw. Added my lite dressing and enjoyed. Later tonight, I have a tall glass of mixed berry juice. It's hard to get use to but I've notice a difference within a couple of days. It's just a little something to think about and maybe give a try.

Marisa Forgot to tell you I get the tingle in my feet when they are swollen and hurting. It's cause from pressure on my nerves. Drives me crazy when I'm sitting and trying to read.

MarisaOh terri, I'm sorry. I hope the surgery goes well and you can go back on your meds soon. I get tingling and numbness in my arms and hands, especially at night if I put my hands above my head. An OT told me to try putting my arms down next to my sides. That seems to help arms some. Sometimes if my back is acting up, I get numbness and tingling in the legs. A hot bath before bedtime helps. Can you take tylenol extra strength? That makes a difference for me. Shingles is like RA of the head since it's nerve involvement. Luckily it's almost gone. At least you don't have to worry about teaching for a little while.

I would definitely try to alkalize your body a little and try and get the inflammation down. Lay off alcohol, coffee, sugar and meat. It definitely helps the inflammation down when you lessen the acid.

It helps me anyway!!

thank you for the suggestions Marissa...  I'll try to get to the store tomorrow to get some juices.   something has to help..... Have you tried cold packs? You've gotten through another day!!!! It's passing. You can do it...you can do it...you can do it. Thanks Fiona!!  This has to be the most miserable feeling... I feel so helpless.  I'm fortunate my family understands as do my friends, my oldest daughter is home and is helping me a lot right now, my youngest is away for the summer, which is a good thing as well, because she just thinks I'm being lazy.  Ahhhh to live in a 14 yr olds world....
