Medrol pack | Arthritis Information

 

Has anyone taken a 6-day Medrol pack (methylprednisolone)?  My RA gave it to me Thurs.  I'm on my 3rd day and I feel lightheaded, nauseous, tired and can't sleep.  I hope by the last day I feel better than I do now!

I've had the Medrol dose pack for my asthma.  I also have experienced those symptoms as well as terrible  mood swings.  Are you taking them as the instructions say, scattered throughout the day?  When my GP gave them to me for my Asthma, he had me take them all at the same time in the morning and it helped some.  My RD never prescribes the dose pack, he just gives me a prescription of the 5 mg prednisone and tells me how many to start with and instructions on cutting down.

Thanks Kweenb for the input.  I finally got off pred. last year and it took me forever!  He didn't want to start me on it again, hence gave me the 6-day dose pack to get me feeling better.  I was doing fine since I went off the pred. until a few months ago.  Am taking them throughout the day.
