noisy joints | Arthritis Information

Hi all,

Been wanting to ask, but keep forgetting. My joints have become very noisy since all my joints became involved. Do you guys have noisy joints too?? Aside from the pain, my Knees sound like rice krispies and my shoulders, wrists, and ankles are always cracking

Yes! My fingers crackle and pop now. My knees have always been noisy, but the fingers is weird! My body is a symphony of snap, crackles and pops!

Same here. I also sometimes give out a holler or yell when they snap, crack or pop...lol. The sound sometimes startle me or worst cause a sharp shooting pain.

When I get out of the bed and head downstairs in the morning my ankles make the loudest pops as I go down the stairs....knees too!!

My knees,anles and feet make all kinds of noises. Especially when I'm going down stairs, but not going up. There is now way I could sneak up on anyone. I discovered a new noise yesterday. I was on the patio grilling dinner and started to head into the house and heard a noise like I was walking throught he woods stepping on a bunch of twigs and snapping them. When I looked down, I had stepped on a rock. I don't think it was the rock making all that noise.

Yes!! Im always crackalackin'! heheh, most of the time it doesnt hurt so i dont care. I make people cringe around me though lol. I did a doctor about it once and he gave me some long explanation that I stopped paying attention to like 3mins into it. guess i shoulda listened huh :( Wow, for the first time since I have struggled with this problem, I have a whole new since of comfort and it comes from all of you. I have so much in common that I don't feel like a weird freak. Thanks for bringing all this stuff up....

My neck can be heard to crack clear across the room.

I felt the same way when I first starting posting here. I was like YES finally! someone understands how I feel everyday hehe. In no way are you a weird freak :)

The other day at the rheumy's office, when they called my name and I stood up, my hip let out a pop that sounded like a rifle shot. The girls in reception were all giggling, and one said "wow, I hope that didn't hurt as much as it sounded like!"

My ankles crackle, my knees pop, my hips snap. Krispie kid.. My wrists and thumbs and shoulders make noise all the time too. The worst is when my knee gets frozen when I'm driving and I'm having to yank it over to step on the brake..Sometimes it just won't go, so I use the other foot, then the right knee lets lose and it's this crunchy, grinding noise...ick.
