Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that I started taking the predisone today and it is already working just like you said. I start off taking 40 mg for 3 days, then 30 mg for 3 days, and so on for 15 days. I know its working already because I was feeling awful last night, couldnt sleep without taking pain medication. This wasnt feeling that great either (as a matter of fact I wanted to go back to bed
I am so glad this stuff works like it does, too bad I cant take it for a longer period of time. Bad news is I think it may prove what I suspected all along.
Are you going to be trying any other meds in the meantime, in order for your improvement to be more long term? Hey Sara, My doc wants me to taper down on predisone for 15 days and then be off of it for a week and then come back and see her, which should all take roughly a month. I think this is because she is trying to determine whether I have RA or another type of arthritis. She said if I do have RA then the predisone should work really well, and so far it has
Not great if you have RA; but you know in your heart that something is just not right with your body. It's certainly better to know what it is and treat it....then to continue to suffer not knowing what's causing your pain. Hope you continue to improve!! Good Luck. Lovie
