Terinski are you okay? | Arthritis Information

Some of you may not know this but Terinski has had surgery. She got lost when this board went down. She popped up on The Round Table board. The surgery went fine for her but now we're having wild fires in the San Bernardino area. If two fires merge, they will burn towards the mountains, where Terinski is. Please say a little prayer that the Ca. wild fires stay away from her and her family.
The fires have already consumed 50,000 acres! Several homes have been lost. So Terinsky, you are in my prayers.

Oh Teri, I do hope you are okay. I've been wondering about you because of your surgery. I hope we hear positive things from you soon.

Teri, I hope you are safe and recovering. You will be in my prayers. It seems we are all having such a hard summer.Thank you all!!   I am fine as far as my house and the fire situation.  The fire is about 30 miles east of me in east of Big Bear.  I am on the western side of the mtn range, in Crestline.  This is so early for the fires, and it's been so hot here already.

The hysterectomy went well, Dr. was able to do it vaginally with no complications and I came home on Thursday of last week.  I was doing great all weekend, napping and taking it easy as prescribed.  Tuesday evening my lower back began to bother me, but that is nothing new for me, so I just figured it was normal, especially for not doing normal activity.  Wed it got a bit worse, then Wednesday night I started running a low grade fever, so Thursday a friend took me to Urgent Care.  They determined I had a bladder infection, so they hooked me up to an IV, pumped in two bags of saline and Gentamicin, a heavy duty antibiotic and Toradol for the pain.   I'm not convinced it's a bladder infection, but I'll talk to my GYN on Tuesday.  They sent me home with a prescription of Cipro, so at least if I run into any Anthrax, I'll be covered for that!!!

Teri, it is so good to hear from you. I hope they get this infection under control fast. Do you get your regular meds now, or do you have to wait?

It's good to know you are past that point. Write when you can. I missed you.

Good to hear from you Teri.  Don't you love second guessing the docs - wondering if they REALLY know what is going on?????????  I am glad your hysterectomy went well.  I had mine ten years ago and I have always been glad I did.  In fact, I wonder why I went through all those hellish times of the month when there was a solution.

Hope you feel better soon.  Don't lose touch again.  Love, Rox

Kinda hard not to second guess the DR, when they say it's a bladder infection, with blood and pus in the urine, but I just had a vaginal hysterectomy and am still spotting....  oh well, like I said, can't wait to see the real dr on Tuesday!

Deanna, I've missed you too!  I was able to start back on the Ibuprofen the night of surgery, and started the plaquenil a few days after.  The Ibuprofen did help with the hands mainly and reduce the swelling around my joints.  I haven't noticed any thing with the plaquenil yet, as the dr said it could be a month or more.  I just hurt all over right now, and not really sure what the cause is or if it's just a combination of everything, including the excessive heat we are having.

Love to all,   T
Teri, It's good to have you back in circulation. I really missed talking to you. I'm on Cipro too for diverticulitis and off enbrel and plaquanil for the next few weeks. The arthritis is bothering me, but the abdominal pain is better. I think Cipro is good for a variey of intestinal disorders so I hope it clears up whatever infection you turn out to have. I'm traveling tomorrow having been on a clear liquid diet for 2 days and am  not looking forward to 7 to 10 days on a very restricted diet. I'm surprized the doctor is letting me go, but happy. I hate the way teachers have to spend their vacations taking care of all the medical problems we don't have time for during the school year. My prayers are with you kid.Linda,   I know this is late, but have a wonderful trip!!!!

Get Better Soon Teri!!!!
