Does the Sed Rate or the C-reactive Protein test always prove to be a good indicator of the progression or the pain of ra? I've had a steady progression of pain going from my feet to my hands and wrists, yet my ESR and CRP tests come back normal. Is this in my head or are the tests not always a perfect indicator?They are not an indicator for some.
My last CRP was normal even though I was in the middle of a flare. My CRP and ESR was elevated when I was first diagnosed, but have always been normal since. I've definitely had flares since then.
