I have arthritis in both of my knees. I had a open dislocation in 1997 due to a car accident and have had ongoing pain in both knees since. I am overweight but recently, I have had more pain in them than ever. I haven't gained any weight and I had 2 cortisone shots but in them on Monday 10, 2006 but they do not seem to help. I am going to see my Orthopediac on August 10th and am going to get him to take ex-rays to see how bad the arthritis has gotten and ask him about getting the new Synvisc shots in my knees. They feel like they have no lubrication in them. I am going to try the Synvisc than the cortisone and see how it works. My medical Dr. said I had fluid on my right knee which was the one that was hurt and they did not take the fluid off which is painful. I am only 27 years old and having all these knee problems. Does anyone have any experience with the Synvisc shots and how long due they usually last. Thak you. Has anyone in their teens or twenties had these shots before and how did you do?
