Well I took my first Humira shot Sat before last, I went into it from the Enbrel. I felt great all last week but ever since Sunday I have had that just got hit by a bus feeling. And today my hands and feet and ankles and knees all hurt and I have been freezing cold. It is 105 degrees out side and I like the AC cold, but not today.  I got home at 11:30, almost 4 hours ago, and my feet felt cold so I put on some wooley socks. They were still cold so I got under a furry blanket, still cold. So I invited a chihuahua to curl up by my feet...I think I have frostbite. My toes hurt and they are just so ccccooollldddd. The rest of me is okay, my hands and wrists and elbows are chilly, but my body is warm.

CrAzY??

I get that hands and feet coldness too. Not sure it's the Humira....but I guess maybe it could be. THat's interesting.

Hope you feel better soon Crunch. BTW; are you taking Humira every two weeks? Or weekly?

Well, there is also something called Reynaud's that can go along with RA that has those symptoms.  My mom has it and so does my friend's mom who has Lupus.  It could just be another symptom of this mess we are all in.  I hope it eases up for you soon.  I get cold hands and feet, and sometimes they get clammy too, which is even more irritating.

When are you due for another shot of this medicine? Maybe you should ask your RD about how you are feeling before you take another shot. My gosh, what a mess we are in with these medications. I hope you are feeling better now.

Oops! I didnt mean to imply that I thought the coldness was r/t the Humira.  I have had that at times even before my DX. It is just a bizarre occcurance to me when I cant get my feet to warm up.

I am on the Humira once ever 2 weeks.

Hello to All!

I am sorry everyone has difficult times with symptoms and with meds, etc.  Sometimes, it seems never-ending, doesn't it?

My  "intro" is (mistakenly) in the first category.  I apologize for that.  I was very tired and in tremendous pain and...that's when I commit a "blooper!"

I had recently tried "Lyrica" for additional pain control.  Even at low doses, I was too tired.  Started to completely miss life!  I've recently discontinued this med and I have been having shaking chills and drenching sweats, you name it!  Yes, 70F for ambient air temp. and still shaking under a wool blanket!  Today is a little better though, for which I am thankful!

Thanks to each of you for the welcome messages you'd left previously.  I greatly appreciate them!

Blessings!

Crunchy,  For the two weeks I was sick, just recovering, I was under blankets and aching with cold.  It was over 100 degrees everyday and I was driving my hubby crazy as I kept turning air conditioner off and overhead fans.  I was CERTAIN I had a fever.  I just could not get warm.  I would check my temp over and over and no fever.  I asked my doc and she said it was my haywire immune system and that is another reason she suspected I have poly miositis on top of ra - muscle aches.  So who knows what our immune systems are up to.  I hate that feeling.  I was laid out for two weeks.  Sending you WARM thoughts Crunchy.

GOt to take my 2nd shower of the day.

My feet are often poking out from under the covers 'cause they are hot. It is odd, that coldness. I have wondered if it is an arterial problem but that doesnt seem to make sense it both feet at the same time. I know about Raynauds Syndrome, but I thought that involved discoloration of the digits...my feet and toes always look okay when that happens. I think. It is hard to see them up close as I cant lean all the way down there anymore! I dont know....I need to do some research.
