Hi all,

I am new to the forum and I have been reading some of the posts.  I wanted to tell you what has worked for me.  I was diagnosed with fibro/chronic pain-fatigue nearly 10 years ago.  I have chased every treatment, cure, drug and supplement I could read about.  This coming November will be two years ago that I started a treatment with a chiropractor.  It is a very low level type of adjustment and I went twice daily, 3 times a week for 2 monthes.  After one week, I started sleeping for 5 to 6 hours straight with Ambien.  After 2 monthes, I cut back to 1/2 ambien and now take it once or twice a month.  It was only about two monthes ago that I said aloud that I think my fibro is gone.  I was afraid to say it before that.  I have gone through two winters with no flare ups.  Summers were always better as far as the pain went but the sleeplessness was year round.  I still have aches and pains, I am 53, but we all know the difference.  One more thing that helped me is that I never stopped moving.  Even if I needed help to get out of bed, I got out and I moved, even if it was slow.  Stretching is as vital as food.

There is also a bodywork called Applied Biomechanics. It has been used sucessfully with fibromyalgia sufferers. The difference between this and other methods is, it incourages your own body's natural healing abilities. It also takes one, maybe two sessions before you notice a major change in your body. If you are suffering from pain and you are tierd of taking pain pill after pain pill, I highly recomend trying the Applied Biomechanics. If you are close to Springfield, Mo. schedule an appointment with me at Nu Essence Massage and Day Spa at 417-881-7771. Print this page and recieve 20% off of our first session. You may not even need another!
