Hi everyone. I am starting a series of five Supartz injections in both knees due to really bad osteoarthritis and was wondering if anyone here has had this therapy and if so, what kind of results they have had. How long did you find that the Supartz injection relief lasted? I would appreciate your responses. Thanks.
HAD THE SUPARTZ.......TWO SESSIONS OF SUPARTZ....WORKED MUCH BETTER THAN SYNVISC....AWESOME THE FIRST SET...BY THE THIRD SHOT.....KNEE GREAT!!! LASTED ABOUT 5-6 MONTHS. WENT TO HAVE ANOTHER SET OF 5.....NEVER WORKED. NOW, JUST USING STEROID SHOTS....WHICH HELP ALOT FOR A VERY SHORT TIME
GOOD LUCK....NOT TO PAINFUL TO GET EITHER. MORE PRESSURE PAIN THAN PAIN...ALSO, MOVE THE JOINT AFTER THE INJECTION...WALK...WHATEVER. DON'T GO HOME AND PUT IT UP AND TAKE IT EASY. SEEMS TO MAKE IT WORSE FOR A DAY OR TWO.

Supartz...I am wondering if my husband might be able to have those particular shots or will they even help him. Right now his one knee is bone on bone and he will not have his knee replaced. I have OA in my knee's too but not that bad, although I can say my back is worse than his.
