Looking for imput, I just started on this today. I am hoping being nonsteroidal will be better than the Pred. Anyone taking this RX? I'd like to hear from you, thanks Rain Sorry Rain; No experience here. Just wanted to say welcome; hope to see more of you here.

Hi Rain! Welcome to the board!

My husband takes Diclofenas, the substitute for Voltaren. His is 100/mg. , 2 tablets daily. He has Psoriac Arthritis. He has suffered from this for many years & has taken the Voltaren with no problems. He also takes Prednisone. He always takes this AFTER eating.

Are you taking any other drug for the RA? How long have you been diagnosed with the RA?

I wish you well & look forward to seeing you on board.

Hi Rain, I hope it works for you, but don't worry if you have to change antiinflammatories as they don't all suit everyone and it takes a bit of fine tuning to get it right sometimes, I take Piroxicam aka Feldene and that works best for me, I have tried lots of different ones and I find for me this is the best, good luck and I hope u get off of the pred, I am still on it, every time I try to reduce it under 10mg I hit big trouble and have to have 37.5mg reducing over a week to 10mg again.  Kind regards Janie. Hi, I used diclofenac when I was first diagnosed with RA (I also
happened to be four months pregnant) but it wasn't strong enough
and I had to take prednisone as well. I think they worked well
together as for the remainder of my pregnancy I felt really good. I
had to stop the diclofenac when I was around seven months
pregnant as it can harm the baby in the last trimester. I didn't have a
problem with diclofenac (ie. no bad side effects) but I have had side
effects from the prednisone. As Trisha said, it's best to take these
drugs after eating.
That's been my experience with it, but as Janie said, everyone is
different and it sometimes takes fine tuning to work out what meds
are right for you.
Good luck!

i was on it at 1st also, and it wasn't strong enough. it also made me sick to my stomach. now i'm on prednisone for 4 weeks. then i don't know what. weeeeeeee.....!!
