1st Cortozone shot | Arthritis Information

Well, went back to my Orthopedic surgeon yesterday, he still does not know  what is going on in my foot, he says there is no break and  he doesn't think its the arthritis.  But he then gave me a cortozone shot in the joint of my foot (which really hurt btw).  This morning got up and able to walk for the 1st time in 2 months without pain, foot still swollen though, but maybe it will go down later.

Glad to hear you finally got some relief. While I hate the injections - they sure work better than anything else. With just a bit of luck your foot will calm down and stay that way.

Baby that foot even if it feels better.

I've always gotten really good results from cortisone injections. They do hurt like the dickens; but well worth it.

Don't over do it now.

Phil...I am glad you are feeling better.   I have gotten cortisone in my hips...and it has made a world of difference for me.

Here's to feeling better...

I get the injections when I'm desperate - they do always hurt - and they do always help.  Finally some relief for you. That's going to tell them a lot about how to treat you in the future. Be gentle though. No running laps and dancing wildly in the streets.

Hi Phil

Cortisone is great isn't it?! Everyone has told you to rest the foot though, so I won't repeat their advice.

Hi Roblyn

I am having my first hip cortisone shot is a week or so:  I've had them in the knees and elbow before, but is there anything different with a hip shot? I'm planning to rest for a couple of days afterwards. (They're doing it under x-ray, guided with dye, to get in the right place.)

It is good the shot is helping you please remember though as you get more cortizone shots the helping effects wear off.  Baby that foot so it can get better.  meme

Okay, so "OUCH!" and then "WOW!" , right?
