just a little bit... | Arthritis Information

So I finished my first week on Weight Watchers. I lost 1.6 pounds. Not alot, but it's a start. I am pleased. I like it when I drop 2-3 pounds in a week, but I am always satisfied as long as I lose something. I am finally below the 160 mark. I have actually lost about 5 pounds in the last 2 or 3 weeks since I started dieting before I joined back up at WW. There is not much of a noticeable difference yet. But that will come in time. One thing I have learned about weight loss is not to get ahead of myself. If I start thinking about being super skinny, I get to a point where I really obsess about every little bite, I end up not eating enough, and then ultimately I get frustrated and quit my diet, quit my healthy eating and just pig out...which just puts all the weight back on. It's true, slow and steady wins the race.

How are you other "dieters" doing out there?

Not dieting, but wanted to congratulate you on your weight. When I was working out 3 x a week and dieting, I didn't lose anything. I guess it went to muscle (puny ones), but didn't move the scale at all.

I think you should celebrate!

Congratulations!!!!

Keep up the good work!!!!!

Susan

That's great, Kay. The slow way is the best.
I got on the scales this morning and I've hit a plateau. The scale still shows only a 10 lb weight loss. The nice thing is that I can get into some of my shorts that were too tight in the hips. Still have a pair that won't fit.
So how many more of us are trying to loose?

MarisaCrunchy, the last time I went to the doctor, I had lost 8 lbs. Now, I'm not dieting, and I don't think I really lost 8 pounds - but I don't think I'd gained it, either. I think it's all from swelling. I wouldn't have a clue what my real weight is right now. When I had lost of weight before, I hit a plateau and I increased my daily intake just slightly. That was enough to get my metabolism going again.
