Really bad tremors | Arthritis Information

Ok, I've got enough going on. But last night was really bad. I got tremors in my legs and in my hands that just wouldn't stop. They lasted for hours.

I felt like a damn vibrating bed. I have Restless Leg Syndrome, but it wasn't like that at all. And, taking the medication didn't stop the tremors at all.

At the same time, my leg muscles were very weak, like they didn't work any more. As many of you know, I'm waiting for knee surgery. But I can walk in the morning, but can barely move at night. This had eased up a little the last couple of days. But it was really bad last night.

I don't know if this a spine problem, knee problem or what. I've been tested for MS several years ago. But this has me a bit freaked.

I see my Rheumy on Thursday and the Ortho on Monday and will talk to both of them about it.

Do you think I could sell this new vibrating feature? Something seems very wrong.

It seems very wrong to me, too - and yeah, you could make it the newest Disney ride. It doesn't seem uncommon, though. You're the 4th or 5th person who's mentioned the same thing in the last couple of months. Please let us know what's going on.  sounds like what Marisa was experiencing...maybe you could charge people to lay in the bed next to them and make a vibrating bed.... and you could sing too...   Oh, Deanna. I feel for you. They're soooo scary. Can you feel the impulses traveling in your leg?
I went to my GP and we had a nice talk about the knee and everything else. It seems that because the knee is so bad that it is causing problems with the rest of the leg. This explains why the muscles in my upper leg will hurt. If I stand for a long time or try to do something where I need to bend the knee, the muscles in my upper leg will hurt and stiffen. I find that I need to take sit down breaks every few mins. If I don't, then the tremors will start like last night.
I'm sitting in my easy chair watching Big Brother and my leg jumped. It only did it a couple of times. I'm not happy with this as I feel like I'm falling apart. Now I sit down more, drink my water or fruit juice, and try to keep from getting over heated.
As far as the idea of charging for the vibrating, I would loose money.
Deanna, please make sure that you drink your water or juice as this may help. Keep us posted.

MarisaDeanna,  I get hand tremors really bad and leg cramps where my legs shake.  It may just be part of the ra.  YUK.  Hope yours calm down.  LOVEcan't begin to tell you about the muscle tremors i have!  i can just sit there and watch everything jump!  i do once and a while take 1/2 vicodin and 1/2 more 2 to 3 hours later.  it helps.  good luck!

Thanks everyone. I take the Vicodine, much more than you, starmom.

Marisa, glad to hear your experience although I wish you didn't have any to share. I'm taking my calcium, my potassium, drinking lots of fluids, resting.

It seems worse on the days that I swim. So, I wondering if I'm aggravating something then and don't realize it. I have the same problem where my upper leg really hurts.

Cannot stand for any length of time. It is always worse when I'm laying down.

Roxy, I was thinking of yours because my muscles also seem very, very weak. I was wondering if you had this with the polymyosis.

I am definitely asking the docs and will let all of you know what they say.
