I had a great day yesterday | Arthritis Information

I've been in alot of pain, depressed, and tired as hell. I didn't want to get out of bed. At 8:30AM, my phone rings and I thinking darn telemarkers. Didn't rush and let the answering michine pick up as I hobbled into the bathroom to do my duty. When I got out, I hobbled into the living room to poen the drapes and pick up the newspaper. As I'm placing the paper on my side table, next to my chair, I could see the answering machine flashing. An hour later, I decided to check it and see what the telemarker had said. It wasn't a telemarker. It was my nephew. Hadn't heard from him for a long time. He was concern about me and wanted to know how I was doing. We played phone tag for a couple of hors but finally connected. We talked and talked. He wishes that he could help take care of me after I have my total knee. I just told him to call me and we can talk as that's the best medicine.
Then in the mail I got my order of "Aunt Marisa" salve. Will post more on that later. Also got the approval for my knee surgery. Will have the date next week.
Finally, one of my co-workers called to see how I was doing and when I was going in to the hospital.
By the time I got off the phone, my depression was gone. Still have the pain and feeling tired, but it felt good to hear a voice.

MarisaGood for you. Sounds like you have your support system in place. I think you'll feel a lot less depressed when the surgery is behind you. My prayers are with you.

Sometimes people's love and concern are the best medicine!

Good for you, Marisa! It's time for you to have a really good day. No cats underfoot, I hope?? There's nothing quite like having someone who knows you and really understands what you're going through. And one of your co-workers called!!!! Now, keep it rolling and have a wonderful weekend!

Very happy for you, Marisa. You finallly caught a break without trying to break yourself.
