Hi to everyone. I haven't been on the AI site for over a year. Used to sign in as CP. I've had RA for 6 years with successful treatment with Remicade and methotrexate. Since Katrina (almost a year) I've had a lot of flares and even with the Remicade being increased from 200 mg to 400 mg I don't seem to get the relief that I was accustomed to. Am I under stress -- you betcha! Can I do anything about it -- not a chance! Anyway, was wondering if anyone out there has hit a brick wall on remicade where it didn't seem to be working effectively? Sorry, I did well with Remicade. But insurance changed and I couldn't stay with it. Enbrel has not been working for me.
A lot of people have mentioned that they do reach these walls with their medicines. How high is your MTX? Sometimes they can adjust that. But if you are already maxed out at that, then it's time to ask the doc what else can be done.
