Hiking today!!! | Arthritis Information

I haven't posted in a while, but have been lurking at times.  Had another dr appt last month.  Upped my MTX to 20 mg. and I feel better than I have in the last 3 years!!!  The fatigue is still there, but the pain is SO much better and my am stiffness is down to one hour which I am thrilled about.

I hiked Bald Mountain today and climbed the fire tower and took some beautiful pictures.  The elevation is 2,350 feet.  The elevation at my house is about 1,700 feet.  Its an easy hike for "able bodied" people, but I really was quite proud of myself.  My husband had to help me in a few spots, but I actually felt like a "real" person again.  I've wanted to do this since we moved up to the Adirondacks and figured now that I feel as good as I do I'd better get moving.  I'm sure I'll pay for it tomorrow, but I had so much fun today whatever I feel later will be worth it.  I don't expect to be able to do what I used to do all the time, but once in a while would sure be great!!!
