Hi everyone, thought I would fill you in on the latest, as you know I have tried almost every DMARD available with bad reactions or allergic responses, but we are going to go ahead tomorrow with Cyclosporine. I pray that it will work as I have to get off of the Pred asap due to too many awful side effects. I am allowed to continue my Endone thank God, (the pain clinic took it from me), my Rheumy is great. He assessed my MRI of my spine and I do have disc bulges at L4/5 and T5/6, along with some degenerative changes throughout including bony osteophytes and facet joint inflammation. I also have some synovitis in the spine which really surprised me. Anyway, I feel positive as I am trying something new again and I have great support from my Docs, I did find out that the Fibromyalgia is definite as it has been queried for a while, but all the tender points feel so bruised and painful when he checked them. Hi Janie, here's hoping the Cyclosporin will do the trick without any adverse reactions! How much are they starting you on?

Hi Moonie, 100mg am and pm. Thanks for the quick reply, Janie.Janie, glad you are getting some results. Pain clinics are supposed to do MRIs, etc. BEFORE treating someone. I think they should be reported to the medical review board for the entire way that they treated you. They could have permanently damaged you. And, their attitude is abusive when you consider how much real pain you are in.
I really hope you find some relief. It sounds like your Rheumy is compassionate.
