Hi all, sorry to be a pain!

I'm still waiting on the dr and noticing that the 2 last knuckles look like they are merging, what on earth is that ?

thanks very much...

Again, you need to point this out to the doctor. If this doctor does not give you a good answer or investigate it further, move on to a new one. This is not normal and it is unacceptable to live with. You need to find someone to treat you.

We have a frying pan somewhere that we use to beat people over the head with. We could send it with you to your appointment. Maybe that would knock some sense into them.

Oh, here it is.

All the tendons have slipped off my MCP joints so they have to be sewn into place somehow.  They have to then trim, slice and probably remove some tissue and muscle to loosen things up.  Right now everything is gnarled up and tight.  Once they get in there if I need a joint replacement or four they will do that as well.  Heavily splinted for 6 weeks and then night splinting for another 2-3 months.  Physical therapy will be needed with a hand specialist for awhile too.

My fingers drift on my right hand to the right at about a 42 degree angle.  It makes gripping and normal activities rough sometimes.  Not to mention it just plain ACHES.  Maybe what you have are some tendon issues that are causing those two joints to move close together.  I don't know how you would fix that problem.  I guess if it were tendon related they could always slice it to allow it more give.

Have they done an xray to see if it is skeletal?

I still have no idea! But I will keep you posted...

Good luck with your surgery!
