Knee replacements | Arthritis Information

This is my first time here and I am doing this for a family member that had knee replacement August 2005. She went through 6 months of off and on physical therapy. She has had 3 manipulations and her leg still turns outward. (meaning that she can't put her feet together because of the sideways bend in her leg at the knee)

She is still having pain in her knee, and now she is having pain in her foot. She can't bend her knee (even 90 degrees is impossible) and she can't straighten her leg all the way. Her knee stays swollen constantly and get bruised easily, she has a pretty good limp because she can't put much weight on that particular knee.

Does anyone know what could be wrong and what it is going to take to fix this problem?
