Does anyone have dry eyes-blurred vison-sharp pain in your eyes?.....I take 50mg shot 1 time a week, this is my 5 week.....my ankles are huge & sore, I must be in a flare of Fibro. & Ra. it would be nice to just go to bed, but got to take care of Dad, & help with my aunt....sitting here now with ice packs on my ankles
The other thing you probably have going on is Sjogren's. It's often associated with RA. I have it as do many others. Fortunately the treatment is really pretty easy in most cases. They have you add sterilized eye drops and ointments. They can even put plugs in your eyes to help retain moisture. But the sharp pain is essential to get checked. You can also have Uvetics, conjunctivitis (yes, I've had these). They will want to look at your eye pressure, field of vision and optic nerve. Be sure you go to an opthamaologist and not an optician. Being in a flare does make my eyes worse and part of the treatment for Sjogren's is to get the underlying RA under control. So, you need to see your Rheumy and also get into the othmalogist. But do it right away. If I have this problem, they work me in right away.
