soundz crazy

the swimming in paticular is a real luxury.  while getting out of bed at 5.30am is far from my idea of fun once i slip into the pool my joints scream out in thanks! biking has its own set of issues, funnily enough though knees etc dont seem to be the problem, rather hands and wrists from leaning on the handle bars but as time goes on this also seems to be improving.  Running is the only part i cant seem to get into the flow of.  luckily the event is for beginners and so its quite acceptable to simply walk the run part of the race. lucky for me.  obviously it hasnt been all plain sailing.  started training in septamber and the event is 13 march.  have had alot of support from doctors etc except for my rheumy who just thinks im mad, but even she has to admit there has been a big improvement.

Dont know why i decided to tell you guys all this but i guess it just goes to show that anything is possible.  one day instead of sitting round feeling sorry for myself i decided to do something about it.

dunno who said it but "the definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result"  i guess i got sick of the results i was getting and decided to try something different.  lucky for me it seems to have worked!! not saying that this is for everyone but just wanted to show anything is possible.

will keep you updated if anyone interested?

I would definately be interested in frequent updates on your progress!

I found this really old post but if BJKiwi or anyone else knows how the triathlon went I am very interested!

I had plans on running a half marathon when this hit me. I ended up improving enough to the event so I could walk at least and then I had some thoughts around triathlons but after RA hit me I was wondering if this was possible at all.

It is really inspiring to read posts like this so keep it up everyone!!
