Anyone takeing Orencia??? | Arthritis Information

 

I just started taking orencia about 2 weeks ago.  Just wanted to know if anyone out there has been on it more than 6 months with/without side effects.  Thanks I just looked up Orencia and read that you can not take it if you are on Enbrel, which I am. I am new to RA this year. It has changed everything as I'm sure you know. Did you try other meds without success? Did your rheumy just start you on Orencia first?  h2osign38962.3091666667No I have been on every medicine under the sun for the last 10 years.  I tried enbrel, remicade, prednisone, Arava, salphazasine, and many others they work for a little while and then stop.  Orencia is in the 00.00 dollar range, thank goodness for insurance. It seems to be working but will see.  I'm only on my 2nd dose.i was on it for 6 months as part of a clinical trial - I had the last infusion in June there and the RA is coming back bad now I have stopped.  I had very no side effects at all - a couple of upper respitory infections that i'd probably have got any way and some pins and needles shortly after the infusion.  Good luck
