New RD...Scary | Arthritis Information

Do to an insurance change I'm having to go see a
new RD. My previous RD quit following me at the
end of June...which is when I had my last remicade
treatment. Right now, I am 5 weeks overdue for a
treatment-and can definately feel it!!

I have an appointment with a new rd on thursday and
am a little anxious. I hate going to a new doctor and
having to start all over with history & stuff!! I really,
really hope I will like her as I just don't want to have
to keep 'shopping'!! Keep your fingers crossed for
me..thanks!!!

I'm crossing my fingers for ya!

Hope the new RD is just wonderful!

Tara,  No doubt I will be thinking about you.  When we move I am going to change rds.  Scared to death.  You said "her".  I prefer woman doctors.   I so hope you hit it off and you are happy with her.  You deserve a great rd, for a great person.  Let us now how it goes.  It is so understandable why you are nervous.  Be assertive my friend.  Don't let her downplay your illness.  HUGZ

Tara, Good luck with the new doctor. It might actually be good to get another opinion  about your treatment although I know it's frustrating to have to establish a whole new relationship. Can you take your old records with you when you go, Or even send them ahead of time?

Glad the methetrexate is getting better for you. I may go back on it or switch to Arava. I'm having a reprieve to see if my symptoms get worse without it. I have really bad drug allergies and seem to overreact to everything.

Thanks guys! I did get a copy of my records so I
have that to take, and I'm trying to make a list of all
my questions. One thing I really want to ask is about
the major hip pain in my right hip. Hurts to sit, stand
and walk, and sleep. It's actually worse in my lower
back right at the top of my hip. I also have really bad
siatica.

Yes, Roxy, it is a woman doctor. I'm actually looking
forward to that as I've never had a woman doctor
before!! I'm thinking it will be more comfortable and I
can be more open about the issues I deal with.
Also, I'm hoping she will agree to give me a
remicade treatment very soon....'cause...ouch!!!
