Looking for a Rheumy near Milw | Arthritis Information

I've decided to leave my current rheumy because I don't believe he has served me well. Right now, after a bout with idiopatic BOOP/inflammatory pneumonia...no one seems to know for sure, I've been off all RA meds with the exception of an anti-inflammatory and 10 mg of prednisone. My gp wants me find and see a good doctor and am wondering if anyone has a recommendation in and around Milwaukee. There seems to be a shortage in my area, so the gp is not able to recommend anyone personally. Thanks for any help ya'll can give me.

Chris - I am in your area...I will PM you.

Thanks Trixie.....I have replied to your message. Hope it arrives since I'm new to this *smile*

I hear great things about Jennifer Capezio in Lake Forest, ILHi Gena...thanks for telling me about Jennifer Capezio. My husband tells me she would be about l-1/2 hours away from our location in Wisconsin. That may be too far, but I'll check it out, including whether our insurance will cover. Best regards...Chris I am in Milwaukee and see DR. Larry Ryan at the Medical College of Wisconsin.  He is outstanding.  All the docs there are good.  You will need to be patient as I waited 6 mos. to get to see him.  He has even returned calls to me on the weekend..is patient..other Docs have told me he has saved people's lives!Poof, I'm so happy to receive another name. I plan to attend a forum in Oconomowoc Thursday, and will enjoy receiving even more information on this disease. It's like I'm starting over after all these months off meds and I do want to begin again with the RIGHT doctor and the appropriate therapy. I'll certainly do what I can to check him out on my own and try to find a way to see him sooner because my symptoms are coming back and I think I need to move on this. Thanks again!!
