Are running around in my throat...my voice has been hoarse all day and my throat is dry and scratchy. I read somewhere about RA causeing swelling in the throat. I went through this off and on for a 2 week period about a month ago. Does anyone else get these sore throat and hoarsey episodes?I used to, and anyone that has that problem - its caused by swelling of the vocal chords. Thats actually the def. of larengitis(sp?) And like I had posted before, I feel like something's living inside my throat, but my voice is fine. So I'm confused!
I have had laringytis since Aug. 31st.
I did hear from more that one person that this is going to be a terrible year for upper respiratory problems. I have heard of lots of pnuemonia as well.

You could have a throat infection, etc. But my allergies will sometimes do this. First, I either gargle with a hot salt water or a mixture 50/50 or peroxide and water. This kills a lot of germs.
Then, I drink lots of hot tea, coffee -- whatever your poison is. And, I use something like those Halls Fruit Breezes all day long.
My throat tends to dry out because of the Sjogren's so I always have a drink some place close.
However, if you think you have some kind of swollen glands or any infection, you should have a doctor examine you. You could have one and your medicines could be masking it. Any infections, especially on biologics, need to be monitored.
I get this with my the sinus problems the best thing I find is to drink warm liquids like tea with a little honey. If it continues crunchy you should get it checked out.xoxoxox
