air hunger | Arthritis Information

Does anyone have any experience with "air hunger"? The feeling where you really can't catch a good breath? I've been feeling this since yesterday and it freaks me out. I have had this (off and on) since right before being diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, but I know of several women who have had this. Anyone with ideas on how to cope with this????? All of the articles/info I have googled talk about "end of life care" and air hunger. I don't want to read those. Love and soft hugs, Juliah

If you take MTX, it could be the problem. MTX can cause pulmonary problems that can be permanent if not caught. I would talk to your Dr right away tomorrow morning. Dont't take a wait and see attitude. Good luck to you.

I had problems on MTX with a similar sensation that went away when I stopped. But, they did do a lung xray just to be on the safe side. Have it checked out.

Just checking up. Did you figure out what the problem was, Juliah? Sounds scary, but hopefully something the docs can remedy pretty easily.
