I feel like I should be able to do so much more!  I see all my neighbors outside at night, while I'm inside on the sofa because my joints are bothering me.

My husband is completely understanding, and doesn't get upset when he gets stuck with extra work around the house, but it makes me feel horrible at the same time.  I get so frustrated when I make dinner and then can't do anything the rest of the evening because my ankles are shot.

I know you can only do so much when you have RA, or else you make yourself worse, but sometimes it can be really frustrating!

Hey Shannon,

We have a small folding bar stool in the kitchen for when I cook. It's tall enough that when I have to stir something, I can sit and do it. And it's very light so I can just sling it around with me. I even sit to cut things up. Saves my back, knees, and ankles! I got it at wal-mart a few years back, it wasn't more than ten bucks. I'm still searching for an easier way to do dishes though. (no dishwasher..meh.) The stool is too short for the sink...when I master that, I'll let you know! You know what else you might want to try, depending on how big your kitchen is..I bet you can get one of those rolling Dr's chairs. The ones that raise and lower by spinning them. Then you wouldn't have to get up at all. Just slide around! :) No idea where you'd get them though...hmmm
I know exactly how you feel. One day I feel great and the next I spend alllll day in bed. Every muscle and joint hurt so bad that I almost cry. Be lucky that you have support, especially from your husband. He understands! Feel better!
