iliosopoas tendon release | Arthritis Information

So has anyone heard of this or had it done? The docs figure that's what needs to be done to fix my painful hip, because the cup they put in is too big and stretching the tendon too much. But, from the research I've done it seems this is a major surgery with risk of loosing function in your leg and a better chance of dislocating your hip. My doc denies it all so I don't know what to think. He has never done this surgery or had anybody with it so I would love to hear from anybody who has had it-how recovery was and the results.
Thanks!
Nichole

I would definitely find out more information before I had something like that done. Can you get a 2nd opinion? Most insurance is in favor of 2nd opinions. You don't want to have a surgery and not be better off than before. Good luck.

Best of luck, hope you get it sorted.

Yes, it was a surgical mistake. Come to find out, the cup is not only too big but it also in the wrong position:( And this surgeon has done 5 surgeries on me

Whatever you decide to do, i hope it works out. And dont forget to sue that surgeon!!!!
