I haven't needed any NSAID's since on Methotrexate and just wondering what is okay to take and what is not ok. Can I take Mobic and what about aspirin? What can you not take with MTX? (Boo Hoo besides alcohol.....!)

Karoo

Karoo, I take MTX 10mg with Mobic 7.5 x 2 (daily) and have been on the MTX for only 6 weeks now and am off all painkillers!  Mobic is more then a NSAID, its a Cox2 inhibitor which actually different from a NSAID although still classified as one. Its fantastic! http://www.medicinenet.com/cox-2_inhibitors/article.htm

I did take Paradex for a while which is Paracetamol and something else to make it a bit stronger.  But now I am ok without it.

I recommend MTX with something else to work together to beat your symptoms. Hope this helps.

I take Mobic, too but before you take anything call your doc or pharmacist to see what is okay.  Hugs and good vibes.

BTW - I don't take MTX anymore but when I did I could take the Mobic.  Hugs again.

Karoo - I'd stop by the pharmacy that you go to and ask the pharmacist.  That way you know for sure about any possible interactions.

Hope you feel better!
