Boy I haven't been here in a very long time!
I was wondering if there was anyone out there who is on Orencia. My rheumy wants me to start asap but I would love to hear from someone who is already taking it. ie how well it is working, side effects etc. Orencia has only just recently been approved in Canada and I will be my doc's first patient to try it.
I have been on Enbrel and Remicaide. I also take mtx, pred. and mobicox.

Hi Chester - After using Remicade (great at first then quit working), enbrel and humira (no luck with them) my rheumy tried the Orencia with me and I had a reaction so that's a no go too. From what I am hearing at the rheumy's office and infusion center is about 50-50. I really wonder if it's the degree of aggressiveness of the RA that makes a difference in how well it works. I was going to suggest you talk to other patients or the infusion nurses but if you are the first one that won't work.
