So, my girlfriend told me about this massage school thats only 25 minutes from my house.  Its and hour and I just made an appt for Sunday morning!!!!  I've never had a real massage before but I'm really excited.  I will be sure to tell them about the ra but what else so I mention to them?  Should it hurt at all when they do it and should I expect to be sore after?

Massage is wonderful for RA and FM. Just be clear that you have it and tell them where you hurt the most, etc. Also, if you communicate well about how it is affecting you, they can adjust what they are doing. Massage is often used as a part of physical therapy.

Yes, it can hurt because of sore tissues, muscles, tendons, bursitis, etc. But massage can help solve problem areas and make you feel much better afterwards.

I hurt while they were breaking up contractures (where the muscles have tightened into a knot). Otherwise, it is divine and I highly recommend it especially for anyone with FM.

Thanks!  I can't wait, I think it sounds wonderful-I'll post Monday and let you know how it goes!!

Course my husband's no professional......but I enjoyed it and feel better than I have all day!!
