So I started Enbrel 3 weeks ago, and im getting nervous that its not gonna work, I know it can take some time, but most of the people that ive heard it worked for it worked pretty fast! Im getting to the end of new meds to try so i REALLY want this to help! Nothing else has and it worries me that maybe it isnt JRA after all....I had one doc a while ago say it was just fibro, my newere rheumy says its definelty JRA maybe also fibro, cause the prednisone helped me a lot! SO how long did it take for you guys on enbrel to work? How drastic of a change did you feel? Im in college, and always very tired, there is a lot of walking which isnt great either, I really want this to work! Im on MTX, prednisone-weaning down but have staye don 5mg for te past couple months...and now enbrel let me know! Thanks a lot!!!
I think you'll find everyone is a little different, but for me, it took about 4-6 weeks for it to kick in. I never really woke up one morning and thought that it had suddenly kicked in. It was more of a gradual lessening of stiffness and pain in the morning and it continued to get better and a slow, but progressive pace. I'm sure it will start to do its majic for you soon. Ok good to know, somtimes i notice that im not hurting as much as usual, othertimes its just as bad....maybe its begining to work or whatever i dont care as long as i feel better!Hi there,
I am going to be starting Enbrel this week so I'll let you know how it works for me as well. I've been nervous about it but have just decided to back my ears and jump in. So hang in there, ok and you are in my prayers.
