sorry its been so long to get back, pc problems.. Well I have been on Arava since july 3 and its going great. After a week of nausea I followed your advice db and now take it with my evening meal.. I have lost 18 pds but heck I needed to anyway after being on cortisone.. Saw the specialist last week and he wants to add Embrel, he feels am on a plateau, well I sure don't. The pain has decreased and I'm more active then I have been the last 2 years...
Well my next question will be how safe is Embrel

The safety thing..with Enbrel. The truth is that no one knows. It just has not been out in the world long enough.
- So far most people are not harmed.
- More then 50% are helped.
- Some of us go into remission!
If you feel it is going OK with just Arava you can always start Enbrel later. Ask your doc more questions about why the Arava is not enough.
