Hello again guys.... I havent been online at all very much in the past few weeks between the knee surgery and moving. I barely have time to go onto the sushi board, or to visit any others. I just wanted to say Hi. I think this week I will have a little more time at home and hopefully a chance to catch up with everyone on the boards.

I am so happy that Marissa has made it home from her knee surgery, and Roxy is getting all moved in to her home. I hope everyone is doing okay with all of the weather changes going on right now. It has been raining cats and dogs here is the houston area today.

I started Remicade last Monday...I dont feel any better, but I dont feel anyworse either so that is a good start. My next infusion is in a week.

I hope everyone is getting geared up for the Holiday season that is upon us. Halloween is just around the corner and I am in process of planning a spooky sleepover for my kids and a few of their friends.

Please let me know how you all are doing...sorry I havent been here much lately for ya'll...I know you all do fine without me, but I feel a certain sense of responsiblity to my online buddies, and I am glad to be back.

XOXOXOXOXOXOXO---CRUNCHYyay! Hi! :) remicade may take a couple of runs before you really feel it. I've heard that alot. You said holiday season, and my mind stopped reading....lol! All I could think about was ghosts, and turkeys, and christmas trees. I LOVE FALL AND WINTER! :X :X :X :X I'm sooooooooooo excited! I just got a crockpot for my birthday, and I know you can make cider in them. I wanna start NOW! LoL Do you know any recipes???? I wish I could pass our weather around. It's been 70-80 degrees with nill humidity and sunny. Just BEAUTIFUL. And it gets down to about 50 at night but not windy, so it's that nice crisp fall chill. AHH! It's GREAT! :) Hi Kay,

I have wondered why things have been so quiet from your neck of the woods.  I forgot you were moving.  Good to hear from you again.

I am having my knee worked up (had an MRI yesterday) and it made me think of you.  My PCP thinks it is a torn meniscus.  I have said it was OA for so long I can't even remember when it started.  Anyway, I see the PCP tomorrow to find out the results.

Jeanne

Hi crunchy I see you are in Houston.  I lived there for 20 years and still have many friends there.  One of my friends just started the treatment that is taken by IV, at the moment I can't think of the name. She says it has really helped her.  I saw all the flooding and thinking about giving her a call later on.  I lived near the Channelview area.  We decided to move back home to Tennessee when my husband's mom was diagnosed with Alsheimers about 12 years ago.  She has sense passed on.  I live next to my mom and dad and help them out.  Sometimes it gets tough when you deal with the RA symptons and have to run errands or take one to a dr. visit.  Mom has Parkinson and Dad was crippled with a stroke about 6 years ago. But he keeps on keeping on.  I tell him I get my constitution from him.

I'm glad I found this forum because it is so hard for people to understand what you deal with if they haven't themselves.  I hope I haven't raved on too much.  I will be praying for your knee surgery to heal quickly and you get settled in your home without wearing yourself out.

Have a Blessed Day

Hi Crunchy, I've really missed you. I tried to log on to your sushira and it let me the first time, but then I couldn't get on again, so I'm glad you survived your surgery and are back on our board. I am not the most computer literate of people.

I am seeing a neurologist about some nerve damage I'm experiencing in my hands and legs. I also spent a few weeks visiting a really great hand clinic. With my half time job, I'm spending the other half of my time trying to get as healthy as I can. I'm also painting. Nothing like diminishing ability in your hands and eyes to get you moving. Hope you can find something that works for you. I guess we're all so different when it comes to meds.

Crunchy, glad you are still surviving. I miss your posts.

Hey guys...so good to hear from some of you...I see like a 120 people read this but only a dear 5 responded...

Katie, I didnt know you could do cider in a crock pot...I ll look for some recipies and get back to ya.

Jeanne, sound like the same thing I had with my knee(s).

Rocxy, I lived in Sheldon...went to HS there. And then lived and worked in Channelview for a few years. Now in the Crosby/Huffman area.

Linda, sorry you had trouble a sushi...I love that board, it is my baby...but without sponsors and money we are stuck with some technical probs. Glad to hear from you.

Hi D!!!!!!

Crunchy, I actually answered this and said hi ya on Sushi.  Hope to see you back posting.  Tell us about your new place.  Take care.Hi Crunchy!
I was wondering where you were!  I missed the 'colorful' blue posts!!  My remicade took a while before I saw anything and now I'm feeling much better, trying to taper down on the pred... I'm actually on just 7mg a day.. first time in a long time that I've been that low.  Hang in there, the remicade should kick in soon.  Are you on every week infusions?  That's a lot and it should really help you out.  Mine are every 2 months.
Hope you are getting around better now.  Stay positive!!!

Hey Crunchy one of my very good friends works at the Crosby bank.  My niece lives on Heathergate on the way to Huffman. Small world, huh??  And I use to go to church in Crosby at the Tabernacle, but I think it closed down since we've been gone.  How about that?  My oldest son graduated from CE King High School.  I have lots of friends in the Sheldon area.  It's still kind of like home when I come down to visit.

Well have a nice Texas kind of day.

Crunchy, there's seems to be a lot of newer people lately. So, I think the others off elsewhere. I see Fiona, Linda, Lovie and Roxy popping in and out. You can be sure you are loved and missed. Crunchy:
I'm new and don't know you, but....you must be one special person because I keep seeing posts asking about you and where you are.  I just wanted to drop you a line and say hi.
Phatgirl2

Hey Phatgirl thanks for stopping in...and saying hi...yeah, you will get to know me around here...I am the big nerd in the bunch! Haha

Rocxy-What year did your son graduate? Me and my husband both went there. I went to Sheldon Jr. high and ce king...then SJC.

He also went to Sheldon Elememtary and Jr. High and graduated CE King in 1986.  The he did go to San Jack for for Drama and Auto Paint and Body.  What year were you there?  We owned a house in Sheldon Woods when he was in ele. and jr. high.  My close friend and family own Sheldon Appliance on Lampkin.  Do you know that place?  Look forward to hearing from you.

Gena

Kay - I GOT SOME BIG LOVE FOR YA

Hoping Remicade works for you.  I hear so many good things about it.

Don't leave us so long.  I was off for two weeks and I missed everyone including you sooooo much.  Stick around and I will try RA Sushi again.  I love moderating the sex thread

Roxy...sister....I know what you mean...this moving thing is like a 2 month project...between trying to get things situated and running to doctors appointments the days just fly by... and I push myself every day to get things done when I just want to rest...I just feel sooooo close to having everything settled...I dont want to waste time. I really do feel like I am almost there though.

Hi Gena!!!!!

Yes it is a small world Crunchy... We lived in Beaumont place for a short time also.  In 1988 as a matter of fact.  Yes I bet we do know some of the same people.  I miss alot of my friends there.  One of my very good friends husband passed away yesterday.  They live on Blueberry in Sheldon.  I want to be there for her so bad but just can't afford it right now.

Well, you take care and I do hope you are feeling well today.  I also have a friend in Sheldon who has RA and has recently started on Remicade.  So far she says it seems to be helping.  Different strokes for different folks, right.

Hey Crunchy, glad your doing better.  Knee problems aren't fun.  I had my right knee fixed up about 3 years and ra hit me just over a year ago.  Down hill since then.  Totally worthless now.  Good to see all these people with history in Texas.  Lived in Texas all my life, in Spring now, just north of Houston. billyws39016.6131828704
