RA Doctor has prescribed Remicad Infusions. The Initial Cost is 0 per my Insurance. Must meet my 0 Deductible and 0 Out of Pocket Expense to be paid at 100%. Currently the Humira Shots cost me .00  a  Month with Insurance. (4 Shots )

Are there any Companies, Programs that assist with the Intial Costs?

I have taken Short Term Disability from Work, and my Salary has been cut by 40%, and as of today still haven't received my first installment from the STD Insurance, it has been 1 month without any income.

Any ideas or information is appreciated.

Yes, Centacor, the makers of Remicade has a program. Your Rheumy should be able to recommend more than one.

Here's a list to get you started:

http--medicalreporter.health.org-tmr0497-PAC4.HTM
Patient Advocacy Resources
Patient Advocate Foundation
SelectCare Benefits Network How You Can Save on High Prescription Drug Costs.

With your lowered income, you are probably going to qualify for these. Also, some states have medical programs called high risk pools for those who have have medical costs. You might check to see if you qualify for one of their programs.

I qualified for the Centacor program initially. You can find out information on that one from their web site at: http://www.centocoraccessone.com/ They actually divided up the help by state programs, etc.

Try that and see what you can come up with. Good luck!

I will research each that you have Provided!!

Also there is a Program called:  Co - Pay Relief

Each Month they have FUNDS, Contact Number:

(866) 512 - 3861 on the  1st of  each Month !!

Centacor will not assist if you have Insurance, at least that is my understanding.

But, I am going to keep researching any available assistance to  provide  me  $$ Aid   for  REMICADE  Infusions

Under my major med, I have a 00. out of pocket limit - it does not include co-pays. So it's 1000 + 6x= ,210 for a years worth of remicade.

But under my drug plan remicade is 5. for 3 mo supply, mail order, so my cost would be 0, with my co-pay because I would still have to have an infusion  and would be at least another the saline solution and iv line, and needle that would come out of the out of pocket. About 0 compared to ,210.

I didn't think it was worth the hassle to work it out with my Rhuemy - they want to supply the remicade.

If I were not stuck with the 00 out of pocket on major med, and used my drug benefits to buy the remicade, and worked with a co-operative Dr... this might work out. Check to see if this would work out with your 2 plans.
