Bad Docs | Arthritis Information

I feel that we should start a list here of docs that have been bad docs to us.  Like list the docs name with city and state.  It might prevent other people going thru a bad experience.  I don't know if that is legal or not.  Anyone else with any ideas regarding this?

I have had an RD to call me "mushy & flabby" to my face and not on one occassion either.

Regards to your question, do not know.

As long as what is said is true, they should not be able to sue for defamation of character. But real life being what it is,  rather than ending up in court as a defendent... We could do a good docs topic!I was told for the longest time I was just depressed and needed to lose weight! Ooooo Marian you are right.  We should post good docs.  I think I am just cranky today cuz of being sick lol.  At least I'm not flaring on top of the pneumonia and laryngitis.  I have had recent difficulties with my current doctors, and their giving me the run around. do u have any suggestions on who would be good to see? In Hagerstown,MD or Chambersburg,PA .If by chance there is any one from arond here.I would be very greatful for any recomendations.Hope I am originally from Carlisle, PA. I had JRA so I saw a
peds rheumy at Hershey Med Ctr for 9 years, and she was
wonderful. I also saw a few other docs there (GI, Pulmo) and
they were all wonderful. Most of the docs there are close to the
top of their field and are actively involved in research. Also,
since it is a large med ctr with many clinics, they have a lot of
other resources for you. They also have a lot of supprt groups. I
hope this helps. Scripps Clinic, La Jolla.....  When I was first diagnosed, I made an appt... they were all so busy that they suggested a 'fellow'... he works for the rheumy and is just starting.. so I gave it a try..  Best thing is, since he is so new, my appts were with both him and the 'established' RD.   After he graduated, I stayed with him and his new practice.  I really felt like I was getting 2 docs for the price of one!!  And since the new one is trying extra hard, I think I received extra care.   Both were great and I'm so glad I opted for the 'fellow'!!   thank you sara,I have thought of going to hershey, I really hate change. The DR I see now has been more of a pain than I'm all ready in. I have kidny issues also,so maybe hershy would be the best place.Hope, my sister just had her last appointment w/ our old peds
rheumy there, and now has to find an adult one at Hershey. I
will let you know if she finds a good one so I can give you a
specific name!
