The battle is brewing and no one knows how the invader penetrated.
Army of fighters carrying cold crystallized spears with serrated teeth,
marching and thrusting spears whereever they can, hit or miss,
Inflicting horrific pain of muscle and tissue torn.
The host prepares the counter-attack to no avail.
The only thing to do is protect the wasteland of damage and suffering,
Campfires of inflammation go up everywhere.
Hoping to flush out and burn the voracious cell of killer infectors.
The host is wounded, lost and weary, but stands strong,
to fight another day and another,
until this unwelcome invader fails at it's own destruction.

Trixie, thanks for asking, I am doing well, as I hope you are too!
Alan, I like your intensity in your writing. My mind goes at warp speed so it is hard to slow it down. In the rare moments of quiet, I can write a good poem. Only three to date, as I just started writing them in the past couple of years. Plan to keep working on more when inspiration hits.
Roxy and Gramma thanks for the kind words and it is nice to know you in the cyberworld. I don't come often, but read when I can.
Have a good evening,
LuAnn
