Results from an interesting study of fish oil in the latest Journal of Rheumatology. This page has a nice summary of it: http://arthritis.about.com/b/a/257431.htm

And these links are to the journal article and a discussion of it: http://www.jrheum.com/abstracts/abstracts06/1973.html

I've been taking more fish oil lately and have also been reducing my NSAIDS successfully. Interesting to see from this study that the two might be related!

Have seen numerous good reports on fish oil. But my stomach can't seem tolerate them. I would like to take them if anyone has a suggestion around that.

I'm a big believer in Flax Seed Oil. I can tell a difference with it. It is also good for digestive problems, too.

I do try to eat a lot of fish like salmon (oh, when I can afford it) and tuna, etc. That really helps too.

I gave the fish oil a good try but it made me smell and taste fishy. Guess my stomach didn't tolerate it too well either.

Maybe I should give the flax oil a try.

Yeah, it does have the fishy after taste. Maybe someone's found a brand that's not so bad.

Oh, I know that fishy smell too! I finally found a fish oil supplement that doesn't do that to me. It says it's Odorless!  Well almost. Maybe  a minor fishy burp now and then, but mostly it really is odorless. I think the brand is Nature's Bounty. Found it in my regular grocery store. Flax seed is great too. I sometimes add 2 tbls to a yogurt and fruit smoothie.

If I can further reduce my NSAIDS with the fish oil and flax seed, I'll do it!
