Hey, I was raised on the Eastern side of New Mexico. They all talk with a West Texas accent except for me. I'm kind of the freak in the family. But it comes back from time to time. My famous saying is "I'm fix'n to do the wash'n (pronounce warshing). I cannot get that one out of my vocabulary.
Living in the panhandle of FL, people like to refer to our area as "L.A." Or, Lower Alabama :| So we get the "fix'n ta" and the "y'all" which I'm sooooo guilty of
most of us here dont say warsh....but I did have one friend growing up that did say it. But everything else we say is sort of abbreviated...leaving off things like the "g" at the end of words that have "ing". And I dont know if this is a texas thing or a sheldon thing...but we tend to give driving directions using "this way" (left) and "that-a-way" (right)...ever used a grocery bag as luggage? used the inside of your trucks door to open a beer bottle? floated down a 50 degree river in and old tire tube with a cooler of beer for fun? been to a party in a pasture?...that didnt belong to anyone at the party??? been to a drive thru store/beer barn?
Yeah, sounds familar. We still do a lot of those things in more civilized parts of AZ, too. We definitely do the river thing. The Salt River is used most of the year for just that purpose, beer travelling.

Brett is leaving and I don't know what I am going to do about cooking. I am very spoiled that he likes to cook. I will have both kids - Colton is moving here Nov. 30. I think I will take turns with them helping me in kitchen and we do have take out around us.
Brett has been getting mad that I rarely drive. It hurts so bad to drive and I don't like to drive on Percocet. That will have to change. I will have to find everything I need CLOSE. Crunchy, I always wanted to move out in the country with Brett but RA changed that. I had to be close to things, especially a pool. It has to be hard out in the sticks.
By the way, I have done all that you mentioned, do I win a prize? I lived in Arkansas for ten years and loved it How about a good ole pot of Red Beans and Rice???????? Somebody get on over there and cook that girl some vittles. And while you're at it make a pone of corn bread tooooooo.
