Where are you nurses??? What the heck are these Sure Click Injections?? Are they easier then my regular needle Enbril injections??
I'm here, I'm here.....But, I don't know much about the sureclick. The only thing I've heard it that it is really quick and not quite as painful. There are a few posts on here about the new Sureclick. I don't have any experience myself. I do know that you can't see the needle
Phatgirl2 I'm not a nurse but I have the Humira sureclick. I did it the first time on Weds. It's like a ink pen but bigger around you push in the end of it and it injects your meds. You can't see the needle. I didn't feel the needle at all just the burn of the meds for about 10 seconds. You count down from 10 to 1 and the shot is done. Hope it answers your question. C I've been doing the sure click Humira pens weekly for about two months now and I do like them better. It's less complicated and it's really quick. The needle doesn't hurt....just the burn of the meds whicn I've finally determined there's just no getting around. If you've been using the regular needles and find them aggrevating and hard to use then the sure clicks for you. If you hope to avoid any pain at all don't get your hopes up. YAY for Sure Click!!!!! You really need to talk to your doctor about getting them they are great!!!!! momof3 Hi Lovie, I'm new to this site, and I was diagnosed with RA about 3months ago. I'm on Methotrexate and Enbrel. I don'tknow how I got the guts to inject myself, but I did. I sure hope the sureclick is easier than the needle. The only thing about the med is the burning. With the needle it burns a lot. My Rhumie pushed me up to twice a week. So I hope this all works out. I also have Fibromyalgia, so it's a double wammie for me. I also feel so very tired, do you also feel the same way? Please let me know. I hope I'm doing this right, please let me know that also. Take care, Dottie51.
The SureClicks are super easy to use. You just hold one down at a 90 degree angle to your skin, then just push in the button on the top of the injector--don't hold the button down. After about 10-15 seconds, you'll hear a second click. That's the signal that the injection is complete.
I really like the fact that I never see the needle.
Like CinDee, I never feel any pain from the needle, but do feel a sting from the Enbrel. Since it only lasts 10-15 seconds, it's bearable.
I think it would be hard for me if I had to start using a syringe now.
Hope this helps!

Thanks everyone. I am going to see if I can try them on my next order. I am ready for something new and different. I may be the only person that hates the SureClick. Much prefer the twice weekly syringes. But as I stated before, I think my biggest problem is that I don't have enough fat on my thighs. I think I injected into my muscle.
Also definitily felt the medicine going in with the Sureclick. Not so with the syringes.I did the sureclick Friday for the first time and I hated the stinging but my gosh, my arthritis is sooooo better! My swelling went way down in a few days in my hands. Way Down!! Looks almost like normal. I can't believe. I only weigh about 105 and I just have to do it. I then can hopefully stop the Avara and be done with that hair losing medication. Enbrel is the best! The not seeing the needle is the second best part for me. The results are the best thing!!! Its like magic.

Donna-
Glad it worked for you. Enbrel is definitely a lifesaver for me. I was able to go off methotrexate and the NSAID I was on. Now it's just me and the big "E".
