Do TNF Inhibitors stop dammage completly, or only partly.

Would have to say once again depends on the individual but my ra has progressed even on tnf inhibitiors.

Is your RD planning on starting you on a TNF inhibitor?

If the TNF inhibitors work for an individual I feel that it slows it down.  I don't think anything can completely stop RA unless it is a remission.  Even then it is sleeping and may come back to rear it's ugly head.

My progression has slowed somewhat and I am happy with that.  I still flare and there are still days that are pretty bad.  But those aren't as often and as severe as what they were before the TNF inhibitor.  I can actually get out of bed during a flare, dress myself (including tieing my shoes), putz around the house doing EASY housework, and take a very quick trip to the store if someone else drives.  I still have to take it easy during a flare or I will be in bed (well the couch lol) not being able to do anything.  There are times I overdo it and I'm down for the count the next day.  TNF inhibitors have worked for me and I will take any amount of slowing this down that I can.  I have 1 grandkid already and want to be able to be somewhat active with her and the future ones.
